THE SNARE IS BROKEN with Rev.Felix Omobude
Psalms 124:7-8
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Our topic today is a statement of relief. The psalmist says there is no more bondage because the snare is broken.
Whats a snare?
A trap with bait. It’s set usually for animals, once in the trap, they are caged.
For this service, I would define it as anything that traps or entangles your life, with a luring capacity.
Many are held by the power of the wicked
Psalms 119:110
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.These wicked people operate through evil spirits and demonic operation, they have wicked hearts. They want to hold their captives in bondage and domination foreverPsalms 141:9
Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
The gin here is the bait laid to attract one to their trap.
Many are captured by their habits, leading to addictions. Some are addicted by Nicotine, some to pornography, some to family captivity…so if you take one step forward and two backward THAT is a semblance of a snare.
Many people are intelligent and knowledgeable but they are brought to their kneels cause they are ensnared.
A bird in the snare is limited. That bird cannot get out.
I am sent to you today, If you are caught up in any form of imprisonment, you cannot make progress even with your best efforts. I have a word from God today to you, Jesus the bond breaker is here to set you free. Whatever unholy trap they have set for you today will be broken/destroyed today.Daniel 6:3
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.Daniel 6:4-8
Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.When the laws of men transgresses the law of God, the Law of God takes precedence.Daniel 6:19-20
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?When you served me you did so creditably, I know you have a God with great might indeed.Daniel 6:21
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live forever.
Many times God does not stop them from throwing you into the den but He will for sure deliver you.
Do not pray that they should die but let them live to see the works of God in your life. But some might have to die.
Daniel 6:22My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
God is able to deliver.
You are coming out of that snares, and you will be able to say like the psalmist MY SOUL IS ESCAPED OUT OF THE SNARE OF THE FOWLER!
God has the power to deliver you.
Daniel 6:26-28
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast forever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in the earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
Whatever evil decree was made against you will be reversed today. The same mouth that made the decree will also reverse it. They will come and rejoice with you today.
Whatever prisons or walls of limitation place upon you, that snare is broken from today.
2 Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
God is an expert in delivering people who fear Him from evil and temptation.
WHAT TO DO WHEN IN A SNARE?
1. Sum up Courage.
when a man is in a trap, it is a frustrating situation but all hope is not lost. God always tells us to be courageous
Joshua 1:6-7
Be strong and of good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

2. Ask for help from He who is stronger than you and the barriers
The snare cannot prevent you from praying. Seek His help.
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
This is who you are to seek.
To power to keep in prison is maintain by the strength of a strong man but when a stronger man comes He holds the strong man bound, plunders his goods, and releases his captives.John 8:36
If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
When Jesus makes you free, you are free indeed.
Jesus does not just open the door, He removes the doorpost.
Freedom is your portion today. ask for help from the stronger one
3. Take advantage of His divine intervention and freedom Jesus gives.
Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Do not have any romance with things that brings bondage.
Who is the snare and barrier breaker?
Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
When Jesus died He went to the devil’s den and took the keys of Life and death and came out victorious declaring freedom for all captives.
He is the one. Where ever you are you can come out of your captives by Jesus Christ.
