GOD FOR US with Rev.Dr Felix Omobude

Romans 8:31-32
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Paul the apostle went through a lot in his life as a believer, he was beaten, betrayed, went through the storms…so it is with people today we all go through a lot of storms and trials.
What shall we say to these things?
The world is going through similar storms and trial
The conclusion by Paul the Apostle is that if God is for us nothing no power on earth, no demon, no evil spirit can be against. God was with Joseph and made all he did to prosper even in the midst of the tempest and trials. Nothing could stop him. God was with Samuel, even when he grew without his biological parents God was with him.
Jesus Christ on earth had God was with him, that is why He was called Emmanuel, God with us.
Paul said if God is for us, who can against us?
God gave us His son Jesus willingly to redeem man, if He could do this He can do anything for us his children

Three important Blessings of our Redemption

  1. He gave His son to redeem us
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
If you appraise this statement, you can say God shines His light in our hearts.
We no longer grope in darkness, God saw us beyond our falls. The sacrifices of Jesus appropriated rightly makes us joint-heirs with Him Jesus
Psalms 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

The Lord is my Light through Him I see my way. Because He is in my life darkness has no place in me.
Fear is vanquished in Christ. We are bold and courageous.
Psalms 27:3
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
Courage is one of the benefits of our redemption in Jesus.
Our life in Christ gives us boldness. Let fear have no place in your life
Psalms 118:6
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Declare it to your self. There is no need to fear

   2.  we are world overcomers

Yes because He paid the price for us.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
In Jesus you have peace. In the world you tribulations and evil tidings but be cheerful, He has given us the victory.
Put your hand in the hand of the overcomer and you will never lose.
1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith
.
If you have turned your life over to Jesus, you are a world overcomer even by faith.
Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world, do not give up your faith. do not let the world sniff it off you.
Get yourself dipped in the bible, the word of God generates faith.
Psalms 44:5
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
From the day you turned your life over to Christ and appropriated His victory on the cross, you became a winner.
He is our strength and light of our life
1 Corinthians 3:21-22
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
2 Peter 1:4-6
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
If anything cannot kill Christ, nothing can kill you.
3. We are more than conquerors
Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Tribulation and distress are upon our world, fear, and suspicion are upon our world…shall these make be away from Jesus?
We know God in Nigeria and God will spare us because of this.
In Christ we can sing a new song, in Him we have peace, in Him, we can sleep in the night, in Him we are more than conquerors
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are living in such an hour when those who think they know realize they are limited. There is a God in charge of this universe.
We have His nature, we are undefeated.
The enemy wants to make you fall on the ground but you are not falling in the name of Jesus.
God will give you light in the place of darkness and joy in the place of sorrow.
