TEXT: JEREMIAH 35: 1- 19
INTRODUCTION:
In the first part of the topic, we discussed the meaning of family and the various types of family. God being the originator of the family has set rules and regulations for the institution to fulfill the purpose of its establishment. He has also defined the roles for those that make up the family.
Today we shall discuss the roles of parents in the family. Such roles include instituting godly tradition in the home, providing for the needs of the children and other dependents. Parents should not withhold the rod of correction whilst not provoking their children to wrath.
May we not fail God as stewards over those in whom He has made us caretakers.
